RECENT PAINTINGS/PAINTINGS IN PROGRESS 'CLEMATIS BUDS' WALL HANGING IN PROGRESS We got this order to paint this elegant Clematis Buds design (above)... CLASSIC ART NOUVEAU at its finest! You may have seen it in the process of starting it in our last Newsletter (#2434).

NEW DESIGNS COMING SOON ... a design called "Anatolia Blue" Cushion Design. When I asked a question in my last email "What designs would you like to see more of?"in "Ask the ZIVA DIVA!", one out of many responses stood out. It was from Sioban, who stated "Perhaps you could delve into the Anatolian textiles". So far I found a few Anatolian designs that will work well, not only as cushion designs, but also as dining chair seat covers. HERE'S THE FIRST ONE! THANK YOU, SIOBAN!
FREE DESIGN We adapted Mondrian's paintings to create two free Mondrian-inspired designs for NECKLACES. Especially good for needlepoint beginners! Or what about a bracelet ? YARN COLOURS All the yarns for the ‘Mondrian Necklace' design were chosen from DMC Mouliné Spécial 6-ply cotton range of colours. They are readily available at your local needlepoint shop or online: DMC colours:
YARN QUANTITIES As a guide for the 'Mondrian Necklace' design charted, you will require approximately 1 skein of #310 Black and 2-3 skeins of each of the rest of the colours. OTHER MATERIALS You will also need :

ASK THE ZIVA DIVA! YOUR QUESTION: Hi ZIVA, I'm fairly new at needlepoint and wondered how to finish the edges of my canvas. I need some instructions. Thank you,Cathy. Hi Cathy, I've used two edge finishes over the years, one is the Braided Edge stitch and the other is the Loop Edge stitch, as shown.
There are numbers in each photo to follow. The Loop Edge Stitch is probably easier to start for you as a beginner. I hope either one works for you.
